Default WCUK Laser Cutting

What materials can you cut?
Anodised aluminium (Lian Li, Silverstone cases etc) works best as it doesn't burn as easy as steel does.

If the surface has already been painted or coated, the laser will burn the edges so we don't recommend doing this unless the panel is being re-finsihed afterwards.

Part Fabrication
If you require parts fabricating from scratch we can supply the materials to save you the hassle. Our suppliers hold a massive range of sheet metals including, Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel & various type of woods.
We can also laser cut sheets of acrylic to shape but please note that the edges will need to be flame polished afterwards if you want them to appear clear.

If you have an idea for a project just drop us a line and we'll see what we can do.

To see a video of a panel being cut, we've put together a little YouTube video for your enjoyment!

Never really got chance to get decent pics of these panels previously but whilst I've got Bex's case back here for a few changes I just got a couple of better snaps.

@ Bex
Gonna give you a call this aft / evening to run through details.

As in, you've knackered a panel and want it lasering to correct it or you want something cutting really thin?

CM840 Panel lasered with TF2 logo - had already been etch primed for airbrushing and it was a last minute addition.
The cut looks rough but it's actually just where the paint was burnt / chipped during cutting.

More tomorrow!

Right guys...

How do you know I have not asked Valve if I can use the logo? The BBC did have to pay Stanley Kubrick's estate to use the music & poster from A Clockwork Orange (£150 to be precise). However, that was because they were using the original score and movie poster for the beginning of the interview. This is a fan build and most of the artwork is custom anyway. Also, The TF2 Crosshair/logo is not copy written as far as I'm aware.

Anyway, Do Valve really care that someone has built a case for non-commercial use/profit and themed it on one of their games... I doubt it.

*Cough* Back on topic *cough*

Had these Angel based panels cut (both sides) for a totally pimped out TJ07, they're now Gloss White w/ Silver Pearl so check out the coating thread soon to see assembled pictures.

Got some new stuff coming through at the end of the week, haven't been doing much panel lasering recently as the CAD work for intricate things like this is a nightmare the majority of the time.

Much prefer doing technical drawings rather than freeform.

Had to re-do the CM840 panel due to couriers destorying the last one, not cool!

Then this is a TJ07 we've had kicking around for a while now, I think the logo is Star Trek based but i'm not 100%, I'm sure someone out there will correct me though.

The TF2 logo is meant to be offset slightly to the right.

The 2nd panel, not sure what you mean, it's probs just the photo.

Nope, that's about it for now. However, there will be plenty on my CPC blog, here and over at bit-tech when the build starts. May be a little while though
