I just wanted to ask how the edges looks like after laser cutting, are they sharp? Or would I need to file them, to make them smooth?

The edge itself isn't sharp, it's pretty smooth, see below:

Things can be cut to a point (which will be sharp obviously) but the edge itself is smooth.

Does the 840 side panel hold up to lasercutting okay with it being so thin?

Well yea but I meant is the finish strong enough, as I just received mine and now appreciate how thin they are. I imagine it bends easy until you get some acrylic behind it.

Im with Howster a pic doesent indicate whether its as flimsy as ****..

Need a video of it snapping really?

Dont think my panels will have this issue.... He He, more likely break the laser cutter.

How thin are theese panels then?

less than 1mm?

Its around 1mm I'd imagine and alu as well which makes it more flimsy?

Kinda need some kind of frame from 2mm steel to go around from the inside to make it feel more solid.

Think its 0.9mm.

They do the job and look good but they do that popping inward thing when you put a bit of pressure on then pop back. It's strange because the rest of the case is as solid as a rock. I bought it aware of this and it isn't really a problem but wondered how easy it was to keep it in one peice when lasercutting and then shipping etc.

know exactly what you mean.

Put too many holes in my first make of mobo tray, was 2mm, think if was 3mm would of been ok.

However now less holes, all is fine.

0.9mm.... sucks.

Hey, have you guys cut a Corsair 800D/700D panel yet?

I just got my panel back from a competitor of yours and the cut is extremely poor, it hasn't been cut by a CNC machine as their site states but by hand and I am not happy with it.

I was just wondering if you would be able to cut around the botch job with your CNC machine, or would it require a new panel?
