The WatercoolingUK forums have grown amazingly over the past few years, more than we originally planned for and we thank all of you for being a part of this growing community. In order to keep the forums running smoothly and to prevent any kind of problems, please follow these simple rules for the forums here. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact one of the Staff Members.
General Rules
• While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
• Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.
• Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
• Advertising, spamming and trolling is strictly not allowed. This includes using the forum, email, picture comments and private message systems to spam other members.
• Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping posts. Use 12 hours as a guideline.
• We also do not allow posts or links to sites that are sexual in nature or violate the WCUK community standards (For example linking to a competing website). The WCUK team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards and may change without notice.
• Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
• Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. Any members found to be doing this will have there IP range blocked / banned.
• While we are quite happy to have constructive comparative conversations about competitor's products, we will not tolerate blatant adverts / links and we would appreciate it if you refrain from blatant bashing of other websites.
• We reserve the right to remove offensive or inappropriate posts without notice and without the posters approval.
• Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
• You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal.
• If you need to contact us with regards to a shop order or query, please do not use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the forums as this if for forum queries, please use the "Contact Us" on the main shop page or by clicking on this link
• We also reserve the right to ban anyone who wilfully violates the forum rules.
Advertising Services and Solicitation
We do not allow people to post threads or to send private messages or emails to users here that advertise or solicit any products, services, funds or donations. Explicit advertising and solicitating in signatures is also prohibited.
We do not allow members to offer their own custom build, case design, powder coating, laser cutting or any other service of this type on these forums, as we offer this already as part of the WatercoolingUK site and brand name. We can not condone this type of service offered from anyone on the forums because of the problems this has caused in the past. If anyone is subject to the above by another member of these forums, please report this to any one of the Staff Members on the team and we will take the appropriate steps to make sure this no longer happens. We will disclose this information from any parties involved for your peace of mind.
Links in signatures must follow these guidelines
Linking to a commercial product/service is fine, provided it is not a product or service that competes with a product or service offered by WatercoolingUK. A link and promotional text for a site that is not commercial and does not contain product(s) and/or service(s) is allowed, provided the site is not sexual or does not violate the WatercoolingUK community standards. The WCUK team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards. (Examples include sites about drugs and/or sex.)
Signature and Avatar Size Limits
Staying within the guide lines below will make the forums display correctly and help page loading times for those on slower connections.
All signatures should not exceed the following size limits: 500 x 130 Pixels no more than 50kb
All avatars should not exceed the following size limits: 140 x 140 Pixels no more than 30kb
Trading section
Since recently, Guest users can no longer view the Trading Section. The same also applies for any registered users UNTIL you apply to join the WCUK Trading Section Group. Providing you meet the same criteria as last time, 200+ posts, you will be granted access to it.
To apply to view and use this section, please follow the directions below.
• Sign into your account and click on User CP (Control Panel) in the top left of your page.
• Click on Group Memberships from the left hand side column under Networking.
• Apply to join WCUK Trading Section.
Please be sure to read our "Guide to safe trading" before buying or listing anything for sale in this section.
Moderation
Although the administrators and moderators of the WatercoolingUK Community Forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither WatercoolingUK as a brand, nor Components UK Ltd. (Owners of WatercoolingUK) will be held responsible for the content of any message.
By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.
The Staff Members of the WatercoolingUK Forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.
Staff Disputes
Any disputes with the staff of the WatercoolingUK Community Forums will be handled in private through the Private Message System or Email. If you wish to escalate any issue with staff then please use the "Contact Us" link towards the bottom of the forum page.
Addendum
We reserve the right to update and modify these rules as the needs of the community dictate to ensure the smooth operation of this community.
