Thicker will coo better, but it is all down to having the space for it. If you can fit thick, go thick! :)

Let me know what your graphics card and processor are and i can throw some maths at you, however....

 

If you can fit it, definitely go 360( AT LEAST)

Some of them do look a bit suspect.

 

Do the fittings not have a recess to fit a spanner into? I'm sure some of my old ones did....

 

Been a while since i've done a build but iirc they are usually quite tight to get fully on.

 

Sounds silly, but have you tried taking them off and re-seating the connector??

Usual locations, ebay etc. You could try forums but i imagine most are like this one where you need a certain post count to access the sales area.

 

I would sell the gpu and block together. Selling the block individually might be tricky depending on how old it is, and easy it's information is to access.
