Air flow

16 March 2016 - 07:00 PM

So since there isnt a specific place i could find for this , i hope this will gain some attention.

im discoverign that the Fractal Design Define S Window Edition Black Mid Tower may be good at sound dampeneing, but its shking with the lack of air flow.

ive come to realize that even if i placed 3 fans at the front with the  window panel on, the air flow isnt as good as it should or could be mainly i think becuase the front fans are trying to suck the cooler air from the sides rather than gain it from the front (the front doesnt have a door)

i have a Corsair Hydro Series H110i GT High Performance CPU Cooler with quad fans at the top of the case and a EVGA NVIDIA GTX 980Ti HYBRID with a single fan at the back (i plan to adjust the position and have it at the top next to the cpu radiator.

So i found with the window panel on the gpu temps have been around 35-47 when rendering

and the cpu has been 88-102

when the panel is off, the gpu temps have been 22-28

and cpu has been 35-45 but this is before is gets dust blown clean from it.

when the system is "clean" of the dust the cpu temps can be around 22-27 mark.

so the reason im doig this post is asking somebody to get hold of a fresh window panels and help create a new one with fans on it .

the fans need to be large and powerful for great airflow, the fans need to also have dust filters so that it doesnt suck all the rubbish into the system. ive figured ive got that problem at the moment where the gpu is, ie theres a section where the cpu radiaot doesnt cover and the air the gpu radiaotr fn is sucking in the area is being covered by dust.

Need a person to create a custom case

17 July 2015 - 09:12 PM

just bought the define s case but then found after i wanted to change the motherboard from the z97 pro to the x99 ws-e, the new board wont fit.

so need somebody to create a case just like the define s but made for the new board and create and extra space for both sshd and ssd

i have contacted fractal to see how much itll cost for them to do a case for me but havent heard back
