So many nice builds and ideas ,hope i havent given myself an impossible task this time :(

Howster also a good idea for the psu.

the rad surround in my Monster1 project and bottom rad works far better than i thought it would (maybr due to the cases inlet vents in side panels)

So psu where you suggessted should work also.

Had trouble working out top/bottom :)

Only if ya make it shorter. If the dimensions remain similar you have 2x480 rads side by side down the bottom. Your definately not tempted by a monsta rad then?

Silly me, didnt realise, rads on edges not single on bottom like i drew

Like in tj07?

Did think of a Monsta rad yes, look pricey though.... Will account for deep rads though, dont want to be caught out by this

Yea or a V2000. Depends what your aim is really. You could stack two rads vertically but then you would have a lot of warm air passing up through your case over your components.

I don't like the idea of the psu up the front as there is no way to do it without it putting hot air into the case or looking terrible. PSU's have to be one of the least adjustable and customisable things going.

PSU is always a pain, maybe have it external..... I dont like that idea, if im making a big case i want it in it.

I always liked the psu at top... neater.

Also i have psu at bottom in current case, if watercooling leaks its too close to psu for my liking

Well we are getting somewhere i think now.

I just know whatever we decide to account for and fit, whilst it will be better than buying a case and modding it, there will always be something i miss

Would like a separate area to keep all my own made circuits and bits aswell, to keep things neat

Maybe check out the mountain mods cases for some inspiration, they are quite simple and straightforward and dont mind sacrificing space for performance and room to get everything in.

I've downloaded Sketchup, got some Mullerice's. Gonna have a go at what my idea was to show you what I mean :P

Posted Image

My first try on Sketchup. Don't yell at me for not being able to delete faces etc/add wires/components and shizz.

Man is there to show accurate sizing :3

Wow, that would be great for sure.

need to be able to fit front, top, bottom and maybe rear panels onto a frame/structure.

If its too scale even better,

Then maybe you could send me(upload somehow) for me to use/workon aswell

Thanks again

Once the case is made, ill give you some credit on it, sorry cant give money though.....

P.S.... need job

Ok when i said size dont matter, well there was a limit.

However its the layout that matters as youve realised

Yeah :P Is there a way to resize it? I'll make it and then resize it when I've finished :D

Although, imagine a case like that. How many 480 rads would you get in? (It's 10ft high :3 )

Edit: Sketchup is an amazing program, it's 30mb and it packs some.

Never used it before this but I think I'm going to have to!

Select the whole lot and then select scale from the menus

or if you add a dimension, then scale it, the dimension changes in real time, so you can stop dragging until its the size you want, just takes a bit of getting used to.

Bentleya is quite good on sketchup, i may be better drawing it on paper rather than using pc

well its getting somewhere

Ok Lets go bigger......:o:o:o.

Look, i can now get loads of bays 5.25=6
2 * 3.5" ones.

Will probably make a 2.5" caddy aswell for ssds etc

The dimensions are big now.... Get your measures out guys and tell me if its too big???

I can now fit all my front panel mods without anything getting in the way, nice and neat now.

Also i can now fit... 2* 480 rads in roof
1 quad in bottom(maybe 2 also)
1 tripple in rear panel (may have trouble fitting pci cards though?).

I think it might be a bit too wide. Narrow it down a little, and see if theres any places where you have excess space you don't need. With 3 - 4 quad rads being ott already i dont think you will need a 360 on the back. Could change that for a bank of 60-80mm fans or something.

Had trouble working out top/bottom :)

With my design there is room for 2 triples in the bottom and 2 singles in the top.
The way it is designed is that in the bottom chamer there are 2 two 120mm fan pushing air in back and front and the rads directly exhaust the heat. It is 25cm wide so there is room for the air to move

Good, yes

Really want to get quads in, not coz i need them, but coz i can

(Well maybe i cant) but im gonna try

Dont want rads in front if it means holes in front panel (prefer to reserve the space on front for artwork and all my bits/meters etc
