fantastic audi/video player, every single file that has anything to do with audio/video plays on this bit of kit, also, hundreds of tiny tweaks at your disposal and takes all sorts of clips, pictures and captures :D

This will sound dumb but if you had a seperate partition say named tools then put all programs you needed in them ,if you reinstalled they would be there ready no need to remember ....... i have a media centre pc to and i have a partition for movies etc so i dont lose them if i have to wipe

anyone add AVAST on there.?

I find its the best Antivirus out! it updates every 2 days aswell! i love it

CDBurnerXP -- nice lightweight burning tool, I use it all the time.

Just FYI Daemon tools was bundled with spyware the last time I used it, but this was several years ago... on the odd occasion I need to mount an .iso I use Virtual clonedrive.

Ventrilo -- miles better audio quality than Teamspeak.

I've read about http://ninite.com/ for deploying all these sort of apps easily in one go, although I've never used it.

Ninite is ok but all settings/install options are set to default - kinda useless...
