Many of you might be familiar with the PC-7 already but I had a free half hour ealier so thought I would get some nice snaps of one.

As title suggests i'll just give a brief explanation and leave the photos to do the rest of the talking.

Must point out that this is NOT the normal version, this is the SE B III edition, main difference being the roof panel.
This version does NOT have the 80mm fan in the middle of the roof.

I'm all for this case for all the usual Lian Li reasons. The only thing I'm not so keen on is it's following the trend of sticking mesh/perforated areas randomly into the panels. I don't mind the top one it's the one on the side that bothers me because it spoils the feel of symetry on the case and makes it look over-done. The TJ07 has mesh on the side panels, but in that case you have the symetry and if anything the look of the case is all about that mesh. In this case it just looks plonked into the corner of one side as an after thought to me. Yes I know it's there specifically to cool the graphics card area so it does serve a purpose, it just isn't to my taste. Perhaps I have traces of OCD at work here

I'm 100% with you on the side panel gripe! It really shouldn't be there!!

Gonna go photo a TJ07 now I think but in the meantime i'll leave you with some assorted pics of PC-7's.

Nice enough case, but it looks like it will be cramped in there with watercooling!

yep its quite a nice looking case,
but like said before the mesh on the side panel kind of ruins it,

however have to disagree as not all mesh ruins side panels as with my gigabyte 3d aurora the mesh on the side panel looks good and is very effective.

I don't agree with the comment about the side panel cooling mesh spoiling it, after all they've got to look like they're looking after the air cooled sli brigade besides which I really do like the way it's been done, canti the fan from the chassi rather than screw it to the side panel and add to the fan noise through the side panel acting as a sound board/rattling etc.

In a similar vain; why does every budget case I buy for cheap builds for other folk have to have an 80mm side intake/fan mounting point though, FFS they're for budget builds I just want a 120mm at the front for HDD cooling with a quiet slow fan and the PSU fan'll take care of the rest! :<

I still think it's a plain boring square box though.

Nothing so far (in my price range) has managed to tempt me away from my blue and silver CM Stacker MK1 (ish) yet whiach has seen me good through three watercooling exploits and about 8 different rigs without any problems.
