Hi guys, I do have 3 External hard drives from WD My Book. I did took them out and i did plug them in in my pc and still the same "Hard Drive with Click of Death". Do any one know how much and where i could try to fix them and recover important data from them? If any one know how to fix it or have some ideas would be nice. Thank you guys.

There is not much you can do really mate apart from trying to RMA the entire unit but since you've hacked it open it might not be an option...

Did you try the freezer method?

This one made me chuckle!

It is unusual and refreshing to have a how-to-repair video that doesn't show someone beating the shit out of the drive.

I have a drive that has died, from a laptop the board of the hd smells burn so USB adapter killed it, if you can find someone that will bring it back to life see if they will do a good price for both
