Can the mobo take the 8GB sticks? I doubt it.

24GB of Corsair RAM will work out much cheaper, around £260 I got my kit for....

Also why 3TB drives? You can build nice and speedy array out of 4-5 1TB F3s for the same money..

What's the purpose of this rig? You kinda have to have some if going for > 6GB of RAM...

the link was towards the kingston 8gb modules for 32gb kit.

and it states that the board takes a maximum 32gb which would be 4x8gb

when you deal with full HD content and the export render is image sequence ie png, you are lookign at is say a time length of a full film of 1hr 20 etc, of around 500+ gb, so since in reality you would liket do more than one render with a project you want additional space.

plus with after effects an premirt pro plus others, you need a seperate drive for each method, ie main drive for the temp files, 1 other large hdd for reading the original or priojected file and then the 3rd hdd for the project to be written to.

all to give the best performance and not slow thigns down.

the purpose would be large media editing projects, so when you are dealign with filters / plugins like neatvideo, and others within adobe , it feeds of memory from the modules but also from the gpu.

(and im learnign or i should say re learnign all of this ) a ive been out of the editing thing for over ayear.

and for example for the meory, i had 8gb of memory on my q6600 system and all that memory wa easily used up, but then again back then i had a rubbish gpu so most of the memory was being needed to take up the task.
so more hwardre in the right areas the faster and easier the project will be, especially for real time editing

the cpu i hope will be the i7 2600k

but remmber this is a wish list and not ansystem that i have already

are there any recommended 1000w psu's?
