It's most likely the RAM Tony.

Somehow, after the bsod, the storage gear with all the settings for the 3.2 stable overclock got lost.

Can't remember all the settings for the RAM timings section.

If you've not sorted it before, as I said previously, will pop down again soon and fix it. ;)

Struggling to find the guides and stuff on OCZ forums that I used when I first overclocked.

Hello mate. A Q9550 E0 stepping should run easily at 3.2ghz. When I had mine I had it running at 3.7 stable on air under a true cooler.

Try these settings and see where you go. Obviously you want to have your ram unlinked running at 1333 speed. I would then say you want the cpu multi on 8 and for your fsb depending on the board, ive never used a foxconn either 450 or 1800. 450 x 8 will give you a 3.6 oc. You may have to bump the cpu voltage a touch. I had mine running at 1.32v if i remember correctly. If you have a tool in your bios called loadline calibration make sure thats enabled to.

I would say that you should have no problems getting 3.6. Whats the VID of the chip? Any ideas??

Chris
