Thats the only visable coolant hose on mine so it should be cheap to do.

The big longer (lower) pipe runs under the engine so no point doing that, maybe just wack a blue silicone one on there instead.

To be honest, it doesnt even need to be a custom part, an 80mm L bend could be adapted to fit with silicone hoses on each end.

To accommodate a water cooling system that can dissipate heat more effectively than an air cooling system, allowing me to overclock my hardware by a greater amount.

car modding is a lot about look as well as function/performance.

I think its a cool idea. But then i am spending far too much trying to make my case look pretty. I'd do same to car if i had a decent car/money.

Looks cool but at £150 a tube! They can **** right off!! Im really quite worried about how likely they are to crack or shatter leaving you with no coolant and a fubar'd engine! :o

Aside from what Dave pointed out, would have to give current systems a good clean out first! I'm sure it looks brilliant when its perfectly good clean coolant running through, but some of the crap that will have gathered over the years must look terrible in a clear pipe.

Agreed! I did point this out to Marcus. I think the only way to make sure you have the system clean enough to run these is to get a new rad and pump, strip the block and clean all the water ways. If youve ever had a head gasket go or used any kind of stop leak stuff then these are deffo not for you! :P

Also coolant for cars is either green or pink, adding dye to these to get another colour would be a pita especially as you can only use either the green stuff or the pink stuff (which ever is specified for your engine) as each is made to work with certain metals.

After seeing the crap that came out of Marcus rad when we flushed it I dont think it will be any good on the Chav Frog Mobile!

:EDIT: I just noticed there is no filter on the intake in the top picture! :o That supercharger wont last long and neither will the engine!

Supercharger? I thought it was a turbo.

I think it looks good in the pics but will get boring and age badly.

Definitely a supercharger, its nowhere near the exhaust, its mounted crank end of the engine for the belt drive and it looks to be centrifugal compressor.

I can understand why you might think it looks like a turbo though. Turbos are centrifugal compressors with 2 chambers (one side is turned by the exhaust gas and one side compresses the air). Most superchargers are either roots or screw compressors which look very different to turbos. See Here for explanation of the different types. :)
